Is the tip tracker free?
Basic tip logging is included free. Advanced tip analytics (per-section averages, tip-share calculator) are part of the Elite plan.
Do I have to report tips to the IRS?
Yes — tips are taxable income in the US. Timely makes it easy by exporting a clean total for the year.
Can I track tips in cash separately from credit?
Yes. Each tip can be marked cash or credit, so you can reconcile credit tips against the paycheck they hit.
Does it calculate tip-out?
Yes. Set tip-out percentages per role (bar, busser, etc.) and Timely subtracts them from your gross tips automatically.
Will my employer see my tip data?
No. Timely is a personal tracker. Your data is yours — your manager has no access.
