Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 26, 2026This Privacy Policy describes how timely ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
Information We Collect

- Session durations
- Hourly rate and earnings goal (if set by you)

- Time format preference

4. Device Information
We do not collect device identifiers, location, or analytics data.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's core functionality (shift tracking, session history, earnings calculation)
- To authenticate users and secure your account
- To sync your data across devices using Firebase (if you are signed in)
- To send optional notifications (e.g., clock-out reminders)
Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in, securely in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore.
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
Third-Party Services
- Firebase Authentication & Firestore: Used for secure login and cloud data sync.
- Apple Sign-In: Optional, for authentication.
- Apple Push Notifications: Optional, for reminders. No personal data is sent to Apple.
Your Choices
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's profile/settings section.
- You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Timely Teams (Beta)
If you create or join a team in Timely, additional information is collected and shared within that team. Timely Teams is currently in beta.
Information collected and shared with your team
When you join a team, the following becomes visible to the team owner and (where noted) other team members:
- Your display name and email address — visible to the team owner and other members.
- Work sessions you record after joining the team — clock-in/out times, durations, breaks, hourly rate, and earnings, shared with the team owner. Sessions you recorded before joining the team are never shared.
- Live status — whether you are currently clocked in, on break, or off, visible to the team owner in real time while you are an active member.
- Activity log entries — actions you take in the team (joining, leaving, clocking in/out, settings changes) are recorded in an audit log visible to all team members. Entries are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Team codes
Each team has a 6-character join code generated by the app. Anyone with the code and a Timely account can join the team. Team owners are responsible for sharing codes only with intended members.
When you leave or are removed from a team
- You immediately lose access to the team's data.
- Work sessions you recorded while a member remain visible to the team owner and are retained as part of the owner's records (the owner already had access to this data while you were active). If you want this historical data removed, contact the team owner or email us at timelytrackyourhours@gmail.com.
- Sessions you recorded before joining, and any sessions recorded after leaving, are not affected.
Account deletion
Deleting your Timely account will:
- If you are a team member: remove you from the team.
- If you are a team owner: soft-delete the team and deactivate its team code.
Subscription requirement
Timely Teams requires the team owner to maintain an active Elite subscription. If the subscription lapses, members will be unable to record new shifts to the team until it is reactivated.
Beta notice
Because Timely Teams is in beta, features may change, and you may experience bugs. Do not rely on Timely Teams as your sole record of work hours during the beta period.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.

Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 26, 2026These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the timely mobile application (the "App") provided by tigran ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
2. User Accounts
- If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Data and Privacy
- Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
- You may delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App.
4. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the App to track time for illegal activities.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the App.
- Do not use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our services.
5. Intellectual Property
- The App and its content (excluding user data) are owned by tigran and are protected by copyright and other laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our permission.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services such as Firebase and Apple Sign-In. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms.

11. Timely Teams (Beta)
Timely Teams is a collaboration feature currently offered in beta. By creating or joining a team, you agree to the following additional terms:
11.1 Beta status
Timely Teams is provided on an "as-is" basis during the beta period. Features may change, be removed, or contain bugs. You should not rely on Timely Teams as your sole or authoritative record of work hours, payroll, or legal compliance during the beta.
11.2 Team owner responsibilities
If you create a team, you are the team owner. You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of team settings (name, hourly rates, etc.).
- Sharing the team code only with people you intend to invite.
- Removing members who should no longer have access.
- Ensuring you have the legal right to collect and view the work-session data of your members in your jurisdiction (including any required employee notice or consent under applicable labor and privacy laws).
- Maintaining an active Elite subscription to keep the team operational.
11.3 Team member responsibilities
If you join a team, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The team owner will see your display name, email, live clock-in status, and all work sessions you record after joining the team.
- Sessions you recorded before joining are not shared with the team.
- You may leave the team at any time from within the app. Leaving stops further data sharing immediately.
11.4 Data ownership
- Personal sessions (recorded before joining a team or outside any team context) belong to the user who recorded them.
- Team sessions (recorded while a member of a team) are accessible to both the recording member and the team owner. The team owner retains a copy of these records after the member leaves or is removed.
11.5 Acceptable use
In addition to Section 4, you agree not to:
- Use Timely Teams to monitor individuals without their knowledge where prohibited by law.
- Attempt to access teams you have not been invited to.
- Brute-force, enumerate, or otherwise abuse team codes.
- Forge activity log entries or impersonate other team members.
11.6 Subscription and seats
Timely Teams requires an active Elite subscription on the team owner's account. Each team has a seat limit. We may change pricing, seat limits, or feature availability at any time during the beta with reasonable notice.
11.7 Termination
We may suspend or terminate any team that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to other users. Upon termination, members will lose access to the team and its data.
11.8 No employment relationship
Timely is a tool for tracking hours. Nothing in Timely Teams creates an employment, agency, or contractor relationship between us and any user, or between team owners and team members. Compliance with wage, hour, tax, and employment laws is solely the responsibility of the team owner.
