What exactly is Timely Teams?
Timely Teams is a time-tracking and team-operations workspace for small businesses with hourly employees. Owners can invite employees, see current work status, manage team controls, and review accurate shift records.
How much does it cost?
$49 per month for up to 20 active employees total across up to three locations, after a 45-day free trial. All 20 are included whether you fill them or not — there is no per-employee charge and nothing to add up. Room for teams larger than 20 is coming soon.
Are the 20 employees included at each location?
No. The 20-employee allowance is shared across the company. For example, seven employees at each of three locations equals 21 active employees, one over the allowance.
Does the business owner count as a paid employee seat?
An owner who only manages the team should not consume an employee seat. If the owner also clocks shifts as an employee, that active worker account counts toward the allowance.
What happens when I need employee number 21?
Right now the team is full at 20 active employees, and your bill never changes because of it — nothing is charged automatically and nobody is added without you knowing. Support for larger teams is coming soon, and we will publish the price before it arrives. If you are close to 20 today, tell us and we will make sure you are looked after when it lands.
What happens when an employee leaves?
The employee can be archived so they lose access and stop counting as an active seat. Their historical shift records remain available according to your account’s retention settings.
When does the free trial actually begin?
It begins on your official opening date, your first employee clock-in, or 90 days after account creation—whichever happens first. This gives you preparation time without creating an unlimited free account.
Is there more than one trial length?
No. There is one founding trial: 45 days, free, on the same $49/month plan everyone else is on. Cancel any time before it ends and you are not charged.
Do I need to install equipment at my business?
No. Timely is designed for self-guided online setup. Employees use their supported devices, and founding owners can request a video onboarding session if they want help.
How does location tracking work?
Location-aware features can help confirm that clock-ins happen where work is scheduled. Timely should clearly show employees when location permission is used, what is shared, and which owner controls are enabled.
Does Timely run payroll?
No. Timely tracks shifts, hours, breaks, and payroll-ready records. The business remains responsible for payroll processing, taxes, wage rules, and reviewing records before payment.
Can employees see each other’s earnings or locations?
Owners control team permissions. Sensitive information should only be visible to people who have been given the appropriate access.
Is support only online?
Yes. Timely uses online support because the software does not require physical installation. The goal is responsive help, clear tutorials, and optional video onboarding for founding businesses.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The planned founding subscription is monthly and does not require a long-term contract. The renewal date and cancellation terms are shown before activation.
