A few quick answers.

How do I start tracking my hours?

Tap Clock In when you start work and Clock Out when you finish. Timely tracks the hours and works out your earnings as the shift runs.

Can I edit my time entries?

Yes. Tap any shift in your history to adjust the start time, end time, breaks, or add a note.

What's included in Timely Elite?

Elite adds advanced analytics, the tax calculator, break tracking, home screen widgets, data export, Timely Teams, and more.

Can I export my timesheet data?

Yes. With Elite you can export shifts, earnings, extra income and savings-goal records as CSV for payroll, taxes, or your own records. It's in the settings menu.

Does Timely track my location?

Only if you switch on automatic clock in/out, and only to detect arriving at or leaving the workplace you set. There is no continuous tracking and no location history. You can revoke the permission in your device settings at any time.

What happens when I delete my account?

It deletes your sign-in account, your profile, and your shift, archived-shift and schedule data. If you also want records such as savings goals, expenses, pay stubs or Paycheck Match removed, email us and we will remove them and confirm.

My employer added me to a team. What can they see?

Only work you record after joining, your live clock status, your schedule, and — if they enabled it — whether a clock-in happened at a job site. Nothing you tracked before joining is ever shared. The Timely Teams Privacy Policy lists it line by line.

The short version

Your shifts are yours. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
Location is used only for automatic clock in/out, only if you turn it on, and never as a trail.
We use analytics to see how the app is used, tied to your account identifier.
You can delete your account from the app, and ask us for anything the app doesn't remove.

This Privacy Policy describes how timely ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

Information we collect

5. Location

If you turn on automatic clock in/out, we use your device's location to detect arrival at and departure from the workplace you set. Location is used for that check only — we do not track you continuously and we do not keep a history of your movements. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

6. Product analytics

We use PostHog and Google/Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — app opens, which features are used, and whether a flow succeeds or fails — associated with your account identifier. Google/Firebase Analytics also measures app installs and which campaigns bring people to Timely. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not ask for app tracking permission, we do not show ads, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell personal information. Email us if you would like your account excluded from product analytics.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you are signed in, securely in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Third-party services

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics): secure login, cloud data sync, notifications and analytics.
Apple Sign-In: optional, for authentication.
Apple Push Notifications: optional, for reminders.
PostHog: product analytics.
RevenueCat: subscription and entitlement management.
Supabase and Resend: storage of requests submitted on our website, and email.
Vercel: website and web app hosting.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time from the app's profile/settings section. This deletes your sign-in account, your profile, and your shift, archived-shift and schedule data. If you also want records such as savings goals, expenses, pay stubs or Paycheck Match deleted, email us and we will remove them and confirm.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Timely Teams

If you create or join a team, additional information is collected and shared within that team — including work sessions recorded after you join, live clock status, schedules, and, where your team owner enables them, location checks at clock-in and kiosk punch records. All of that is governed by a separate document.

See the Timely Teams Privacy Policy and Timely Teams Terms & Conditions. Those documents replace this one for anything to do with a team, and they explain in plain language exactly what a team owner can and cannot see.

Children's privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.

Terms of Service

The short version

Use Timely lawfully, keep your account details to yourself, and it's yours to use.
Timely is a personal record of your hours — it isn't payroll and it isn't legal advice.
Teams is a separate agreement with its own terms.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the timely mobile application (the "App") provided by tigran ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. User accounts

If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Data and privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what deletion removes.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the App to track time for illegal activities.
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the App.
Do not use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our services.

5. Intellectual property

The App and its content (excluding user data) are owned by tigran and are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our permission.

6. Third-party services

The App uses third-party services such as Firebase and Apple Sign-In. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
Timely is a personal record of your time. It is not payroll, tax, or legal advice, and it does not determine what you are owed.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms.

11. Timely Teams

Timely Teams — creating or joining a team, employee time tracking, schedules, kiosk mode, location and job sites, timesheets and payroll exports — is governed by a separate agreement: the Timely Teams Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

By creating a team, joining a team, or punching in on a Timely kiosk, you agree to those terms. They replace these Terms for anything to do with a team, and they include a limitation of liability, an indemnity given by team owners, and an agreement to resolve disputes by individual arbitration.

Timely is a tool for tracking hours. Nothing in Timely Teams creates an employment, agency, or contractor relationship between us and any user, or between team owners and team members. Compliance with wage, hour, tax, and employment laws is solely the responsibility of the team owner.
